Reclaiming A Credit Union's Member Base

The Customer:

Our customer is Alliance Credit Union, a not-for-profit financial cooperative. Originally chartered in 1948 to serve the financial interests of Emerson Electric Co. employees, today’s Alliance serves communities throughout Greater St. Louis.

The Challenge: 

For mortgage lenders, approximately 1 out of every 10 clients will buy a home in the next year. But how do you know which ones they are? Alliance Credit Union was tired of being late to the party. They didn't know whether a client was refinancing or getting a mortgage through another company until the decision was made. Because 90% of buyers use their real estate agent’s referral partner for mortgages, Alliance Credit Union didn’t even have a chance to capture the business from their own members. This created a reactionary system where some mortgage lenders would call their lost members and have to re-earn their business.

The Solution:

Alliance Credit Union decided to turn to HomeTraq in order to reclaim their members. In a hot real estate market, a house hunter can't see a home soon enough. Many times, the minute they get their schedule aligned with their agent, the house is already under contract. Alternatively, in the same way, you use Uber or Lyft to quickly find a driver to get a ride, house hunters can use HomeTraq to quickly find agents to easily schedule a home showing in an average of 3-5 minutes. Through HomeTraq, Alliance was able to offer their clients on-demand home showings without all the hassles. But the true beauty of this partnership is that Alliance receives a notification every time one of their clients views a home, letting them get in front of every mortgage opportunity.

The Result:

After an extremely easy onboarding, Alliance Credit Union has now been working with us for a year. Throughout the process, Alliance didn't need to hire any additional sales reps, which would have been an extremely expensive endeavor with a 6-month training period! But how were they able to do this, despite the huge influx of immediate leads from HomeTraq? HomeTraq put an end to Alliance losing mortgages from their own member base and helped them win mortgage business at the lowest cost of acquisition of the new business in the industry. Alliance was therefore able to focus on nurturing lending opportunities from HomeTraq instead of hiring additional sales reps to source leads themselves.
